The medieval part of the old Nepetia is attractively set on a steep cliff overloking the modern town centre along the coastline.
Visitors can find a lot of a very important monuments, such as the ruins of a medieval Castel enlarged at th time of Charles V and the churches-convent of S. Bernardino, S. Francesco d’Assisi and the Gesuiti one. Its figs production is also very important, togheter with the cultivation of tomatoes (in Belmonte), onions and the tradional fishing and commercial activities. A spectacular view can be finally enjoyed at Coreca, where dolominian rocks fall steeply down in the sea.
